JBF Carne Asada
- 32 oz Beef flank
- 5 cloves (minced Garlic)
- 100 grams Lime juice
- 1 fruit (2-5/8″ dia Oranges)
- 1 serving Jalapeno
- 1/2 cup Cilantro
- 1/4 cup Avocado oil
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp (ground Cumin)
- 1/2 tsp (leaves Oregano)
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- Directions are based on the original recipe of 6 servings
- Step 1
- 1) make the marinade. in a medium bowl whisk together the garlic, lime juice, orange juice, jalapeno, cilantro, oil, chili powder, cumin, and oregano until combined.
- 2) marinate the steak, place the steak in a shallow baking dish, pour the marinade evenly over the steak, and toss the steak until it is evenly coated in the marinade. or you can put in a large zip lock bag.
- cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours .
- 3) bring the steak back to room temp. remove steak out of marinade and transfer to a clean plate. season each side with a few generous pinches of salt and pepper. then let steak rest for 30 min or until it reaches room temp
- 4) cook the steak for 5 to 7 min per side. in a skillet, grill pan, or grill
- 5) rest the steak … transfer the steak to a clean plate let is rest for 10 min which will help seal all juices.
- 6) slice cut and serve…. enjoy !!!
